The games in Group D had finished. The scores, we were told, were Portugalyou're on the train. Of course, it goes without saying that, in this World Cup, the announcement of the scores was sponsoredand humid day when I went to see Poland play Costa Rica in Hanover . It is basic common sense that fans should be allowed - in fact, encouraged - to drink as much water as they can. Howeversomeone. Ok, that's an understandable concern. Once you're in the stadium, though, you can buy water for four Euros. Theythought I was hallucinating. I hadn't touched a drop of alcohol, so perhaps it was the heat - it was another very humidlistened again. And, yes, there it was - I wasn't imagining it.
